Iliff Court Docket Searches
The court printed on the paper controls every Iliff search. The town publishes no municipal court page. It lists no judge, citation database, payment screen, or case calendar either. So there is no town portal to open. That does not mean Iliff lacks a way to handle a local notice. Read the paper first. Then route the matter through official contacts rather than guessing at a docket.
- Read the court, agency, date, and number on the Iliff citation.
- Call the court printed on the paper when one is named.
- Ask Iliff Town Hall to route a local-code question if the destination is unclear.
- Use the Logan state docket only for a state-filed case.
- Ask Combined Courts for the ROA or document when the calendar is not enough.
This order keeps a local Iliff matter out of the state database unless a state case number supports the search.
Iliff Town Hall Routing Point
Iliff Town Hall sits at 205 W. 2nd Avenue, P.O. Box 194, Iliff, CO 80736. Call 970-522-2283. Staff can route a local-code question to the right office. No municipal court clerk operates there, though. When you call, name the issuing agency and quote the court line from your notice. Do not ask staff to search a docket they may not keep.

Official local contact for routing, not a verified court-record counter
The distinction matters. A general town contact can point you to the next official office without being mislabeled as the keeper of Iliff judicial records.
Inside the Iliff Municipal Court Question
The town picture is plain. Iliff publishes no municipal court, citation portal, municipal judge, online payment screen, or case calendar. Those gaps help a searcher, but they do not prove no local judicial mechanism exists. For a specific Iliff ordinance matter, the citation and Town Hall stay the right sources. State jurisdiction, by contrast, is documented. Logan County Court handles state traffic, misdemeanors, small claims, protection orders, and limited civil work. Logan County District Court handles felonies. It also handles civil cases in any amount, domestic relations, juvenile, probate, and mental-health matters. Both courts share the Clerk of Court at Logan County Combined Courts in Sterling.
Iliff Case Classes Test Jurisdiction
A Colorado state case number usually pairs a four-digit filing year with class letters and a sequence. The official form offers 2019T999999 as a traffic example. T signals state traffic in County Court. M marks a state misdemeanor, and CR a felony in District Court. CV, C, S, DR, and PR mark civil, small-claims, domestic, or probate paths. Do not assume the digit count stays fixed.
- Municipal citation
- An Iliff local matter that is not presumed to appear in the state docket.
- T case
- A state traffic case routed through Logan County Court.
- ROA
- The Register of Action, which gives the chronological state-case summary.
- Docket
- The public Judicial Branch list of upcoming state settings.
The class letters guide the Iliff search. They do not establish a charge outcome.
Finding Iliff Court Dates
Confirm any Iliff local citation date with the office named on the paper. For a state case, open the Logan-filtered Judicial Branch docket. The tool needs a date choice plus one more filter. The full case number works best. A party, attorney, courthouse, court type, or division can narrow results too. An Iliff local citation will not appear there unless it carries a Logan state filing.
| Date | The scheduled day shown in the current state calendar. |
|---|---|
| Time and duration | The start and planned block, not a promised completion time. |
| Hearing type | The event, such as advisement, status, arraignment, or disposition. |
| Location | Confirm Logan County and the listed courtroom. |
| Appearance type | Follow the order; a blank field gives no remote permission. |
Call 970-522-6565 option 7 when two Iliff state-case dates conflict.
Iliff Date Windows Hide History
The public state docket looks forward, not back. A finished Iliff state case may drop out of the chosen window. The clerk still holds its record even so. A blank result can also mean a wrong class, sequence, county, or forum. Sealed, suppressed, juvenile, and protected matters carry access limits of their own. No single empty search proves no Iliff record exists.
After no result: Verify the issuing court, correct the date and class, call the proper clerk, then request the ROA by party and case details.
The calendar tells you when and where. The ROA tells you what happened, in order. A filed complaint, ticket, order, or judgment sits one layer deeper and must be requested by name.
Iliff Traffic Ticket Lookups
Sort every Iliff ticket by the law and court printed on it. A state T-class matter can surface in the Logan calendar and can be requested through the state form. A local notice follows the issuing-office route. Iliff offers no citation-number lookup, no municipal payment page, no fine schedule, no deferred disposition program, and no defensive-driving option on any official channel. Promise none of them. The paper itself controls whether prepayment is allowed, the recipient, the amount, and the response deadline. Paying a payable state infraction before appearance usually waives a hearing and acknowledges liability. Contesting means following the ticket and appearing as directed. Consequences for a missed date vary by charge. A default, DMV report, or bench warrant can apply in proper cases, but not every missed Iliff civil-infraction date ends in an automatic warrant.
Iliff Court File Versus DMV
A court traffic record and a Colorado DMV driving record come from different offices. They also hold different fields. The issuing court keeps the Iliff citation case: its charge, setting, plea, and disposition. DMV keeps license status and driving history. A DMV record cannot give you the authoritative court hearing date. It cannot supply the ticket image, ROA, or certified disposition either. The court file cannot replace a DMV license-history request either.
| Question | Iliff court route | DMV route |
|---|---|---|
| Next state hearing | Logan docket | Not shown |
| Plea or disposition | Issuing court or ROA | Not authoritative |
| License status | Not the court file | Colorado DMV |
This two-custodian check keeps the Iliff court search focused on the actual case.
How Iliff Cases Reach the County
Iliff runs no municipal court of its own under state sources. Charges filed under state law go to Logan County Court for traffic and misdemeanors. Felonies land in Logan County District Court. So do the bigger District Court case types. A County Court appeal climbs to District Court. From there, most appeals move on to the Colorado Court of Appeals.
Docket flow: Iliff issuing-court route › Logan County Court › Logan County District Court
The first arrow does not create an Iliff court. It simply marks the citation and the official-town routing step. For the state layers, search through Combined Courts and the Logan County court docket.
Iliff Noon Counter Closure
Iliff state records live at Logan County Combined Courts, 110 N. Riverview Road, Room 205, Sterling, CO 80751. The counter opens Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to noon, then 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Yes, the clerk closes from noon to 1:00 p.m. Plan around that gap. Call 970-522-6565 option 7 before driving over if you are unsure where a file sits or whether you can see it. Bring the case number if you have it. Ask for the ROA or the exact filed paper. Suppressed, juvenile, probate, or protected material may require government photo identification. Remote requests work too, through LoganRecordsRequest@judicial.state.co.us or the online form. The court posts no public terminal, so do not count on one.
Iliff Certification and Copy Steps
The state record request form covers Iliff state cases. Pick Logan, enter party and case details, and check ROA, Ticket, or another document. Certified and exemplified copies are both options. The clerk aims to respond within three business days absent extenuating circumstances. Access review, redaction, or off-site retrieval can stretch that out. Published fees run 25 cents for a single-sided page and 50 cents for a double-sided page. Certification adds $20 per document, and exemplification adds $20 per document. Off-site retrieval costs the actual amount. A certification authenticates the paper you asked for. It does not turn a calendar result into a full case file. For an Iliff local record, ask the issuing office about its own copy process. Do not apply state fees there.
Iliff Remote Hearings Need Permission
Webex appearances need prior approval under the Logan virtual-court resource. Watching a livestream is observation only. It does not count as appearing. An Iliff resident with a state case should follow the latest order, request permission through the proper channel, and confirm the approved mode with Combined Courts. Distance from Iliff earns no automatic remote access.
Do not rely on the stream: A required Iliff appearance still must occur in the manner the court approved.
A blank Appearance Type in the public docket grants nothing either. Remote instructions for a local Iliff notice must come from its named issuing office. Calling the clerk alone cannot continue or reset a hearing; only the court can approve a change.
Iliff Population Is Context Only
Iliff sat fourth among Logan County's incorporated municipalities in the common-vintage 2020 ordering, with 246 residents. That number explains the scale of the official-town fallback. It says nothing about how many Iliff cases exist. No Iliff-only filing count is published. So do not pin county or district totals on the town. A small population does not lower the proof standard. An Iliff search still needs the issuing court, the correct state class when one exists, a current calendar check, and a clerk record request for history. A certified result comes only from the court that keeps the file.
Who Can See Iliff Court Records
Many Iliff state settings are publicly searchable. Yet not every case or document is open online. CJD 05-01 governs Colorado Judicial Branch case records. Juvenile, sealed, suppressed, probate, and protected files may be withheld or redacted. Some also require identification and legal entitlement. The Colorado Open Records Act covers many other public records. Still, it does not replace the Judicial Branch rule for a state court case file.
Official rules:
CJD 05-01 sets state case-record access policy.
Colorado Open Records Act covers many non-case public records.
Colorado Children's Code supports juvenile confidentiality.
Verify any Iliff record straight through the local or state clerk that made it and keeps it.
